Movimento Turismo del Vino Events

Cantine Aperte offers an unique opportunity to see where premium Italian wine is produced and to learn about the vineyards and regions from the inside. The event features creative programs strongly bound to each area’s history, both in terms of the typical products offered for tasting as well as the popular traditions that animate the streets and piazzas of the producing towns.

Welcome Harvest: Takes place one Sunday – varying from region to region – during the month of September and is dedicated to celebrating the harvest and its extraordinary atmosphere in MTV member wineries.

Christmas at a wine cellar: “Natale in Cantina”, the last event of the year organised by the Wine Tourist Movement.

Wine Under the Stars: This traditional summer event on the night of San Lorenzo offers both tourists and residents the opportunity to admire the extraordinary artistic and enological heritage of the participating areas under the light of the falling stars.

St. Martins Day: This is the new event for 2008, held during the 2^nd week of November. The Wineries will be open to the public for the tasting of the “Novello Wine” and of latest vintages, together with a tasting of local seasonal products.
