The Wine Tourism Movement is present with a Stand at the wine fair in Verona, in the service area “Delle Erbe” stand n°9. All visitors are welcome to visit the stand where they will find all the information relating to the forthcoming events organized by the association that numbers over 1000 members throughout the whole of Italy.

The Wine Tourism Movement is preparing for it’s main yearly event, CANTINE APERTE which will take place on Sunday 25th May. Over 4 million persons are expected to participate. This day is now considered a tradition, where wine lovers and tourists can get to know the wine producers and visit their cellars. This year’s competition open to the visiting public is called “Un Giorno di-Verso” literally, “A di-Verse day” a poetry competition celebrating wine and the day’s event.

On Friday 4th April, the Wine Movement’s President, CHIARA LUNGAROTTI will speak at a conference organized by the MA.VI.TE., on “The marketing of wine and it’s territory”. The Movement is part of the promoting committee (Mozart Auditorium 11.00 am). The aim of this project is the formation of future managerial experts in economic and enterprise strategies for the promotion of wine and the territory, highlighting the strong link between Wine and the local communities of reference.

Available to the public at the Wine Movement’s stand is this year’s novelty. An EGUIDE “The Wine Districts 2008”. A vocal (audio) guide book compiled by Wine and More in collaboration with the Wine Tourist Movement, numbering over 2000 wine cellars, enoteches wine bars and other information regarding the wine areas of quality.
